Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati is now known as Paycor Stadium.
CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals' stadium has a new name for the first time in 22 years.
The fan-named "The Jungle," Paul Brown Stadium,
has been demolished and is now known as Paycor Stadium, according to the team.
Since 2018, Cincinnati-based Paycor has become the team's sole and official HR software supplier.

Paycor CEO Raul Villar Jr. stated in a statement, "We
are beyond excited to debut Paycor Stadium to the globe through a strategic
relationship with our hometown team, the Cincinnati Bengals. "Paycor's
purpose of educating leaders to create winning teams and expanding its client
base across the United States perfectly complements that of the reigning AFC
Champions. Longtime supporters, we take great delight in supporting our
neighbourhood team and continuing Paul Brown's legacy."
Although the stadium now goes by a different name, the
Bengals said in a statement that Paul Brown, the father of team owner Mike
Brown, will always be remembered.
"I believe my father would have approved of this
action. He consistently advocated for the football team "Brown said.
"This collaboration reflects our long-term commitment to the community and
helps the Bengals to compete at the best level in the NFL," the Bengals
said.
- According to the team, branding for the new name will be implemented over the coming months. Before the start of the season, the Bengals intend to have a ceremony to celebrate the growth of the alliance.
- The Bengals are the second AFC North team to make an offseason announcement regarding a new stadium name. In a 15-year agreement, Heinz Field in Pittsburgh became Acrisure Stadium.
- At the team's pre-camp luncheon last month, Bengals owner and president Mike Brown, the son of the Pro Football Hall of Famer whose name has been associated with the stadium since before the first shovels of dirt were moved, said his father would have backed the choice to sell the naming rights.
- "I believe he would have approved of this action. Mike Brown stated last month that he was always in favour of the football team's interests.
- In the news release on Tuesday, he said, "This collaboration reflects our long-term commitment to the community and helps the Bengals to compete at the greatest level in the NFL."
- Paul Brown's name will remain be prominently displayed throughout the stadium even if it has a new name. The conference room where all players sign their contracts is named after the team's founder and first coach, and his name is displayed on the east façade after being elected to the franchise's first Ring of Honor class. Every jersey also bears his signature.
- Paycor, a locally owned business that was established in 1990, offers small and medium-sized enterprises cloud-based payroll, human resources, time-keeping, and onboarding software.
- Paycor CEO Raul Villar Jr., who listed the firm in July 2021, said, "We are beyond excited to present Paycor Stadium to the world through a strategic relationship with our hometown team, the Cincinnati Bengals." "Paycor's objective of empowering leaders to develop successful teams perfectly fits with the reigning AFC champions as we continue to expand and serve clients across the U.S. We are thrilled to support our neighbourhood team and carry on Paul Brown's heritage as loyal supporters, and this is a source of great pleasure for our staff.
- With a payroll company helping the Bengals fulfil their own soon-to-explode payroll number with an anticipated extension of quarterback Joe Burrow's deal next summer in a symbiotic relationship, there is a symbiotic element to the collaboration.
- The Bengals are anticipated to give up their long-held opposition to constructing a contract with a sizable amount of guaranteed money, regardless of where the ultimate figure for Burrow lands. Furthermore, as per NFL regulations, as soon as the contract is signed, all future, fully guaranteed cash must be deposited in escrow.
- Brown stated last month that "it'll let us possibly handle the cap a little bit easier." "We represent a modest market. We require any potential sources of income. The fact that around 30 teams have naming rights, which entails a cash stream and gives them a financial advantage over us. In order to keep up, we must take certain actions.
- The Bengals and Paycor intend to have a formal ceremony to celebrate their collaboration before the start of the regular season, but fans may notice further modifications and branding in the upcoming months even though the name change will go into effect officially on Friday.
Finding a naming rights partner who "fully matches with
the Bengals brand" was crucial, according to Bengals executive vice
president Katie Blackburn. "Paycor is a growing local business that shares
our dedication to creating winning teams. With this relationship, we are
pleased to assist Paycor's expansion and bolster the Cincinnati business
community.
